Hey there! I'm Cara, and I make videos about money, media, and intentional living. My goal is to share accessible financial education while promoting minimalism, sustainability, and financial health.
This channel has had two "lives" of sorts. From 2013-2019, I inconsistently posted videos as a hobby while I was in school. These days, I'm focused more on video essays and educational content.

Multilevel Marketing Schemes & The Scam of Financial Freedom
WELL ANERICA IS THE FOUNDER OF THUS GREED GLOBALLY
I've done enough of these MLM's to know to avoid them like the plague. My brother-in-law once said that a little amount of people make a lot of money and a lot of people make a little amount of money. I was always told by sponsors and upline that I was going to be free. Free from my job and free to do whatever I wanted to do whenever I wanted to do it. I never felt free.... The meetings... Constantly having to recruit and "share" with other people about a business opportunity that was destined to go no where. There wasn't one thing about the actual work that I enjoyed.... I was actually happier being at most jobs that I've had in my life. Thank you Cara Nichole for making this video. By the way- I have a channel on UA-cam and I enjoy that so much better than MLM's. I see a lot of similarities in having a channel and what MLM's are supposed to deliver. The passive income and, subscribers who share videos with others are like a downline but, there's no recruiting, meetings or pestering friends and family to join a cult.
Saya suka ide nya
Saya suka videonya
to be fair you cant call aesthetics a "subculture" because theres no music or politics attached to them
Retail is toxic therapy, n it exclusively affects women.
It's also to catch 200plus million people in Malaysia n Indonesia where Temu means to meet in our local language. Also lots will be confused thinking It's a local co.
already bought several items from TEMU .... it arrived relatively fast and everything seemed ok
Taylor Swirf similar to Bridney Sprite in 1995. People just keep up with the joneses and waste of money
Great video!
Almost anything is fine if done reasonable. Same for re-stocking. I like to keep stuff organized and I do enjoy containers, but I pretty much stock only what I'm going through fast. Beauty re-stocks are wild, one is that products are turning to waste, two - how the hell can these people afford hoarding Olaplex?
Do one for fake flexing with cars, I KNOW a lotta of these people cant afford lambos and raris
WalletHub and other private financial data sources are pretty shit. They run on vibes (self reported questions) and poor samples to present data that gets clicks and exposure. If you want valid data about people's finance, the BLS survey of households is right there! People aren't debt financing vacations, most people have significant savings.
Mi certas, ke mi rea?etos iujn aliajn stilojn kaj kolorojn ? #hqdups por kongrui kun miaj vesta?oj kaj ?uoj!
Temu also has everyday goods at less than retail prices and straightforward free return policy. They are a reputable business model that addresses the needs of a wide variety of people. If you do not like shopping thru them, then do not but that does not mean others should have to follow.
Since you are creating fearmongering propaganda do NOT be a hypocrite and purchase anything on temu - ever. Your loss and to your wallet.
Temu has many diverse and great affordable items. It is not all frivolous or junk. It is up to consumer on which products they choose. For instance, I found many quality bedding, organizers, pet items, etc.
Temu is actually more fair business model because they cut out unnecessary middle-men who jack up prices soley for their profit.
Whiner content: some people will complain about anything.
People are so caught up in the fantasy of what they want to be instead of working toward that for real
I kept waiting for a Caleb Hammer clip to pop up yelling "YOU ARE NOT A CREDIT CARD PERSON". 😂 Fantastic video!
I would love to see a video about “the American dream is dead” - because what is the American dream? It’s different for everyone. I live in a studio with some day wanting to buy a really small house (maybe 1,000sq ft max) out in the countryside. I feel like “the American dream is dead” argument is used to get us to buy bigger homes than we would normally buy, nicer cars than we’d buy, etc. It’s a way to make us feel bad about our economic state and while inflation is higher and things are a bit topsy turvey, my American dream isn’t dead because I’m not trying to keep up with the Jonses. I feel like they are warping our idea of what the American dream is in a way that benefits them (debt, debt, debt) when so many of us are content with a studio or small cabin living a very basic lifestyle
I think I need a strawberry scooper. Not want, need. I just eat up until the steam and throw away the strawberry around
That is so true! I had a friend, about ten years ago, who told me about a friend of hers who was travelling the world during her college years. She told me the way this friend did it was just putting everything on her credit cards, to pay for it later... which is just not the best idea...🙃
My bank account does sing to me like Jennifer Hudson too, when I try to spend rich! 😂
so basically these fake rich are scammers!
People never know their neighbor live in 80 years old house is a multi-millionaire networth.
Miami. Anyways if you watch lord of war he talks about wealth. He breaks down Wall Street and what it pay so he becomes an arms dealer.
I think a great way to get some perspective that helps is to spend some time with folks who have nothing. I lived overseas in a developing country and the idea of even taking a vacation was a big deal for the locals there. It gives me a good perspective.
If you don't mind me asking, where did you buy this cardigan? It looks really comfy
I like the idea of making "Flex rich flexing" a series!
I aint impressed by any of dat. Not at all. I love my hermit -crab life and living in my head 😅
Even if I won a lottery today, I will still not buy brands. I’ll dig wells for people somewhere in the world.
I just reuse a plastic water bottle many times 😂
Not that good for ya health
You look like every character of icarly put together.
This is my first time hearing of JOMO, but it might just change my life. Next time I'm getting upset about missing something, I'll try to think about what I liked about missing out instead.
yeah, it's efinitely important to remember that most of the time if not always, influencers and similar ppl are able to write off these trips and luxury expenses as business expenses along with getting some of it paid for or sponsored
This is why my social media accounts are just cute animal videos 🐕
I'd rather be proud of who i am than desperately try to be something im not
I didn't expect you to talk about pooping, or to do it again. Respect.
Respectfully ONLY WOMEN DO THIS.
haha nah men definitely fake rich flex too
Thank you dear for taking us along. Can't wait what the *niceshopx* queen picked up at Fendi
I love a good niceshopx because it helps me decide if I want to buy the real thing or NOT." That part right there. That's IT. I feel like people stigmatize dupes but for me, I pause on large purchases that are trendy or when I feel the overconsumption mania setting in FOR ME. (It's something I struggle with LOL! I'm easily convinced to buy things I don't wear or use. They'll literally have the tags and I'll even forget I bought something and have 2 or 3 of them in my closet.) Love this video!
No matter if it's the *preluxz* or any other, my steadfast belief stands that only practitioners can perceive dissimilarities in the sack's looks or the metal constituents.
Going to do a railways trip this summer in France to visit numerous villages and chateaux. We are sleeping in camping/youth hostels for a week and a half.... I wanted an eco-friendly vacation to explore the Pays de la Loire region. Obviously it is the polar opposite to the cliche influencer trip to Paris or Nice but it will be so satisfying !
I did a thought life experiment years ago when I would go into a store. You can do this with almost anything unless the thing your buying has essential utility like toilet paper or soap etc. but most things you can just pick up and touch and feel and then say to yourself “ ok this item is in my hand for right now and it feels nice or looks nice but I’m enjoying it right now in this moment. Then I say goodbye to it ( kinda like a stroll in a flower field) and I realize I’m grateful for the moment I got to spend with that nice item. I don’t pick the flowers because it kills them and I don’t pick up objects that will one day(literally 6 months) die in my wanting it.
“Reef-friendly” sunscreens do not exist. If you’re gonna make a video essay all about deinfluencing, do your due diligence by looking at relevant experts, not what a herd says. The initial studies touting “sunscreens harm reefs” were done in closed environments at unrealistic concentrations and had varied results = cannot be translated to real life and invalid results as they cannot be replicated. Just because it’s legislated in Hawaii, doesn’t mean it’s facts; it is a bandaid for climate change by governments when we all know it’s overconsumption and fossil fuels that drive climate change. Funnily enough, zinc oxide sunscreens did worse than the organic filters, yet zinc is often marketed as “reef safe”. It’s always been known zinc can be toxic to marine life at certain concentrations that are applicable to real life situations. The dose makes the poison, not the chemical. You swimming with sunscreen is not bleaching coral reefs, it’s your inability to act on climate change.
Here in India politicians indulge in "fake poor flexing" to attract voters.
I'm ready for more deinfluence products and rich flexing series ✋️
I literally had a temu add before the start of the video
